Examine what you can count
You can usually see answered calls and booked appointments. The quieter question is what happened to inquiries that did not receive a useful next step.
On-demand replay available
Use your own operating numbers to examine the customer journey from first contact through follow-up. You will identify the stage with the most room to improve and decide whether that opportunity deserves action now.
The training is recorded and available on demand. It runs 67 minutes and opens as soon as you register.
Outside research is labeled with the publisher, year, population, and limits · No third-party result is presented as a Ringneck result

The practical reason to watch
An urgent inquiry may arrive after hours or while your team is already serving someone. That person needs enough information to decide whether you can help and what to do next.
You can usually see answered calls and booked appointments. The quieter question is what happened to inquiries that did not receive a useful next step.
Use your inquiry volume, booking rate, and job economics to estimate whether the opportunity is large enough to deserve attention. The calculator shows the assumptions instead of presenting a revenue promise.
See the stages between local discovery and a future review or referral.
Estimate the size of the booking opportunity with inputs you can support.
See a clearly labeled after-hours demonstration move to an approved next step.
Leave with a yes, not yet, or no decision about the next investment.
The full running order
The training uses one customer journey, one operating test, a working demonstration, and the evidence needed to examine your own readiness.
Diagnose
Distinguish information capture from a system that can make an approved decision, take an action, and report what happened.
Demonstrate
The scenario is labeled as a demonstration and shows where approved rules work and where a person should take over.
Decide
Review where human judgment belongs, what outside research can support, and how South Dakota's current funding program is separate from this free training.
| Part of the training | The question it helps you answer |
|---|---|
| The customer journey | Which stage appears to have the most room to improve? |
| The operating test | Can the path make an approved decision and leave a reviewable record? |
| The demonstration | Which steps can follow rules and which ones require a person? |
| The people question | How can the system support less-experienced staff without pretending to replace judgment? |
| Customer acceptance | What does the outside evidence support, and what still needs to be tested in your market? |
| South Dakota funding | Which current state program terms should you verify directly with DLR? |
Your host
Ryan Scott built this session around a practical question local owners kept asking: what happens between the moment a customer reaches out and the moment the business earns the appointment?
Ryan Scott · Founder of Ringneck Marketing
I spent more than a decade leading marketing inside an agency where a small team supported complex work. Sustainable delivery required explicit handoffs and clear ownership of the decisions people needed to make.
I later built and operated my own company before moving with my wife to Watertown. The same operating principle kept showing up in conversations with local businesses. Repeatable work needs a dependable path. Judgment still needs a person.
The training shows external sources on screen and explains what each sample can support. Vendor evidence is identified as vendor evidence. Correlation is not presented as causation.
We are early. We do not borrow another company's result and present it as our own. Our first proof is a working demonstration, transparent scope, and build obligations we can control.
Current South Dakota funding notice
The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation lists competitive AI funding for business discovery, training implementation, and employee awareness.
The official notice describes one-to-one cost sharing up to $5,000 for discovery and up to $20,000 for training implementation. It also lists up to $10,000 for employee time connected with awareness training.
The free Ringneck training on this page is separate from the state program and does not by itself create a reimbursable cost. Eligibility, allowable expenses, approval, and award decisions belong to DLR.
